Ask your senator to support safe access

Message:

On Thursday, February 24, the Senate Committee on Ways and Means passed SB 1458, which would regulate dispensing of medical marijuana, sending it to the Senate floor for a full chamber vote. Please e-mail your senator and ask him or her to vote yes on SB 1458!

SB 1458 would create three classes of licenses to allow state-regulated compassion centers, and would ensure that medical marijuana patients in Hawaii have safe and reliable access to the medicine that their physicians recommend. A well-regulated medical marijuana dispensary system will also ensure that Hawaii residents suddenly stricken with a serious illness have immediate access to the medicine their doctors recommend. Please write your senator and put your support for SB 1458 on the record.

Thank you to everyone who has submitted testimony to the various Senate committees this bill has gone through, but we are not done yet. With your help, we can move this issue to the Hawaii House of Representatives. Please advocate for patients’ rights; e-mail your senator today!
