A couple minutes for compassion?

Message:

Two bills that would make changes to the Hawaii medical marijuana program could be voted on as early as today on the Hawaii Senate floor. Please make a quick call to your senator and ask him or her to support both of these bills.

SB 58 would make many positive reforms to the current medical marijuana program. This bill would, among other things, increase the amount of medical marijuana that a patient can possess, while retaining the arrest and prosecution protection. It would also allow patient-to-patient transfer of medical marijuana without arrest. Please ask your senator to vote “yes” on SB 58 today.

SB 175 is also up for consideration on the Senate floor. This bill will transfer jurisdiction of the medical marijuana program from the department of public safety to the department of health. This common sense bill will align Hawaii with a vast majority of the other medical marijuana states as well as recognize medical marijuana for what it is – a public health issue, not a public safety issue. Please ask your senator to vote “yes” on SB 175.

Thank you for all of your support.
