Title:
Del.: The time for safe access is now!
Message:
In the spring of 2011, seriously ill patients, their families, and friends believed relief was finally on its way when the Delaware Legislature passed, and Gov. Jack Markell signed, Delaware’s medical marijuana law. But earlier this year, Gov. Markell put the dispensary program on hold. Now, more than a year later, patients can get ID cards allowing them to possess marijuana, but the health department has still not even written rules so that patients might finally get safe access to the medicine that helps them.
Please email your legislators and the governor today to request they do all they can to ensure that dispensaries open promptly. If you are a patient or the loved one of a patient, please also consider writing a handwritten letter to your legislators.
Every other state with a medical marijuana dispensary system is moving forward. There is no reason for Gov. Markell to continue to stall. Please ask your legislators and the governor to implement the law that they passed and finally bring relief to Delawareans across the state.
Finally, please send this request to supportive friends and family in Delaware so that they can stand up for patients, too.
