Title:

Del.: Tell Gov. Markell patients have waited too long

Message:

Call or tweet Gov. Markell to ask him to implement Delaware’s dispensary program

On May 13, 2011, Delaware Gov. Jack Markell signed into law SB 17, a bill that protected registered patients whose doctors recommend medical marijuana from arrest or prosecution. SB 17 also created a system of medical marijuana dispensaries, but to date, the Markell administration has refused to implement the dispensary provision, denying medical marijuana access to the very sick in Delaware. Please call the governor today to let him know patients have waited too long.

The governor refuses to implement the law due to concerns of federal interference. However, administrations in Washington, D.C., New Jersey, Rhode Island, and every other state with a dispensary law continue to implement their programs without retribution from federal officials. Ask the governor to stand up for Delaware’s seriously ill. Then, ask your friends and family to follow suit.

Finally, if you’re on Twitter, offer your assistance by tweeting @GovernorMarkell!
