Register today for 2012 Campaign Boot Camp!

Message:

As you may already know, MPP is a major financial supporter of the Campaign to Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol, which is the entity running the initiative in Colorado this year to make the adult possession of marijuana legal. The campaign is holding a "boot camp" on March 18 to teach volunteers from around the state how to be effective advocates for the initiative. If you are interested in being actively involved in this historic campaign, you don't want to miss it!

Here is the message from the campaign about the event:

Now that the initiative to regulate marijuana like alcohol has qualified for the ballot, the campaign has exactly eight months to get its message out to Colorado voters and make sure they are ready to vote YES on Amendment 64 this November.

To get things rolling, we are holding a huge volunteer boot camp on Sunday, March 18, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Casselman's in Denver (2620 Walnut Street). If you are interested in getting involved and helping the campaign, we strongly encourage you to attend this important event. Space is limited and registration is required, so click here to register and reserve your spot today!

At the boot camp, we will go over the campaign's game plan, show you some of the resources that will be made available to you, and provide you with useful materials that you can take back to your community to both use yourself and provide to others.

Attention women! Just prior to the boot camp, there will be a one-hour seminar from 11 a.m. to noon, during which we will specifically address the importance of outreach to women voters and discuss some plans for moving forward. To sign up for this special session, please be sure to check the appropriate box when you register online for the boot camp.

This will be a volunteer-driven grassroots campaign, and we need as many people as possible to get involved at the local level to carry out activities that will build support for ending marijuana prohibition. Attending the 2012 campaign boot camp is a critical first step, so please register today!
