Title:

Colo.: The undecideds

Message:

The Campaign to Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol is nearing the home stretch with just three weeks left to convince a majority of Colorado’s citizenry that regulating and taxing marijuana is superior policy to the tried and failed system of prohibition. Polls show what we expected: this will be a tight race. Interestingly, the polling we’ve seen shows that there are more than 100,000 voters over the age of 50 who are undecided on the initiative.

We need your help to sway these undecided voters. If you have parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, or neighbors in Colorado who are older than 50, now is the time to explain to them why you support Amendment 64. Many older (and younger) voters receive their ballots in the mail this week. If you do not encourage them to vote “Yes” today, you may lose the opportunity to do so.

It doesn't matter exactly what you say when you call or speak to them. Everyone has his or her own reason for supporting the initiative. The important thing is that you ask them to vote “Yes.” Your words will stick with them when they make a decision on Amendment 64 in the coming days or weeks.

If you prefer to send a message, the campaign has a page set up with a pre-written email that you can send as is or personalize for your friends or relatives. If you feel like going the extra mile, log some calls via the campaign’s phone banking tool. A call will just take a couple minutes. Do your part to make history in Colorado!
