Colo.: One week left to make history!

While we were excited about the PPP survey last week showing Amendment 64 holding a 53-43 lead, we have seen other polling indicating that the race is much closer than that. It is possible that this race will come down to a few thousand votes.
Throughout this campaign, we have urged supporters like you to reach out to friends and family in Colorado. Political experts agree that a personal call or email from a friend or relative is the most effective way to influence someone's vote.
In fact, I sent you an email recently, describing how I reached out to an old high school classmate after not speaking with her for 20 years and asked her to vote Yes on Amendment 64. Well, she just got back to me yesterday. Here is what she said:
“Yes, that was random. But I read up on the initiative and you have my support. Good luck!”
Have you asked friends and family to vote Yes on Amendment 64? If you haven't, we ask that you call or email five people today. There are tens of thousands of Coloradans voting by mail every day. If you do not contact people you know today, it may be too late.
If you have reached out to friends and family already, great! We hope that you will do even more to help the campaign in our final days. They need phonebankers, sign wavers, and people to hand out materials near voting locations. If you are able to help, please send the campaign an email with details about what you are willing to do.
Finally, Since Amendment 64 isn’t the only thing Coloradans will be voting on this election, MPP’s State Policies department put together a voter guide detailing certain state House and Senate races. Please feel free to distribute it as you see fit.
