CO: Time to support medical marijuana dispensaries!

Published: November 1, 2010

It's finally here — Election Day!

For Colorado citizens, tomorrow is your last chance during this election cycle to stand up for patients who need reliable and safe access to medical marijuana in the Centennial State. Are you going to help them or leave them to fend for themselves?

Tomorrow (Tuesday, November 2), voters across Colorado will find medical marijuana dispensary questions on their local ballots. Some municipalities are asking residents if they’d like to prohibit dispensaries; others are asking whether dispensaries should be allowed or permitted. Check out MPP’s local measure voter guide to find out if there will be a question on your ballot and to see where we stand on these questions!

Medical marijuana dispensaries are important to any good medical marijuana program. They provide safe and reliable access to needed medicine for seriously ill patients. Without dispensaries, many patients find it necessary to shop in the dangerous criminal market just to use a therapeutic substance recommended to them by their doctors.

Before you get out and vote tomorrow, please make sure your friends and family know what’s on their ballots, too! Pass this alert along or print and hand out our voter guide. Finally, please remember to read the ballot questions carefully so you know exactly what you are voting for. If you have  any questions, just ask an election official.

If you do not know where to cast your ballot, visit the Colorado Secretary of State’s web page.

Thank you for all of your efforts in support of medical marijuana in Colorado. And thanks in advance for getting out to vote tomorrow.
