Action needed TODAY in Denver

Message:

Last November, the people of Colorado made history with the passage of Amendment 64, making the state the only place in the world where anyone 21 years of age or older can possess and grow marijuana legally.

Just as significantly, Colorado voters overwhelmingly approved regulating marijuana in a manner similar to alcohol, by establishing state-licensed cultivation facilities and retail stores.

But now, despite the fact that 66 percent of Denver voters supported Amendment 64, the Denver City Council is considering banning retail stores in the city! This would not only undermine the will of the people, but would lead to widespread underground cultivation and sales — exactly the kind of activity Amendment 64 was designed to eliminate.

There is a Denver City Council hearing TODAY on this issue. Please take a moment to send an email to the Denver City Council, urging members to support regulating cultivation and sales in the city. If you are willing to make a couple of calls to members, which can be even more effective than emailing, please visit this page we set up for that purpose. They must hear from as many people as possible about this!

Thanks in advance for taking action.
