L.A., Monday: Protest the federal crackdown on medical marijuana providers!

Published: October 21, 2011

Please join fellow medical marijuana activists in protesting the recent Department of Justice crackdown on medical marijuana providers on Monday, October 24!

As you no doubt are aware, the United States attorneys for California announced that they will begin aggressively targeting and raiding medical marijuana providers in California. This news comes despite assurances from then-candidate Obama that, as president, he would not waste federal resources targeting individuals acting in compliance with state medical marijuana laws.

Please consider joining fellow activists in a day of peaceful protests over this decision on Monday, October 24 at 12:00 p.m. Although the president will be visiting west L.A., the protest will take place at Federal Building downtown, 255 E. Temple Street, due to security reasons.

Please pass this along to all of your friends in the L.A. area so they can join the protest as well. Please also check out our tips for what you can do to oppose federal interference, including possible slogans for your protest signs and tips for urging your city council to stand up for patients.

Thank you for your advocacy.
