Title:
Feds on the loose in Bay Area
Message:
This morning, federal agents raided Oaksterdam University and several other properties owned by longtime marijuana policy advocate, Richard Lee. Mr. Lee founded Oaksterdam to serve the medical marijuana patient and caregiver population of the Bay Area by offering instruction on everything from cultivating medical marijuana to ins and outs of the medical marijuana law itself. Lee also spearheaded California’s 2010 initiative to make marijuana legal, Prop. 19. Please email the White House, and ask the Obama administration to respect state medical marijuana laws.
Federal raids have been increasing lately. In response, please consider joining SF United tomorrow, April 3, at 11:00 a.m. on the Polk Street steps of the San Francisco city hall to protest the federal attack on medical marijuana. Not free tomorrow? Not to worry, there is plenty you can do to protect patients.
The federal government has chosen to use your tax dollars to disrupt and intimidate business ventures that your state and local officials have approved. If President Obama’s campaign promise to refrain from using “Justice Department resources to try to circumvent state [medical marijuana] laws” inspired you to donate last election cycle, please consider calling his 2012 campaign office to demand he keep his promise.
