Calif.: Get out and vote!

Message:

Happy Election Day! Half of the California Senate and the entire Assembly is up for election. Additionally, Californians will vote today on Prop. 36, a ballot measure seeking to reform California’s three strikes law to ensure that non-serious and non-violent crimes – like simple drug possession – are not grounds for a life sentence. Finally, many local ballots will contain measures affecting medical marijuana laws and ordinances. Exercise your right to vote by heading to the polls today!

Before you vote, take a moment to peruse MPP’s California voter guide. All candidates for California State Senate and Assembly are listed. If they’ve taken a position on marijuana policy – via statements or votes – we’ve detailed that for you. Feel free to forward this guide to friends and family in California so they can find out where their candidates stand on marijuana policy.
