Title:

Help bring medical marijuana to patients in Arkansas!

Message:

Grassroots marijuana activism is happening in your own back yard!

We're writing to let you know that our ally, Arkansans for Compassionate Care, is collecting signatures for a petition to put a medical marijuana initiative on the ballot in November 2012.

Here is how you can help:

AR Compassion

Sign the petition.
Volunteers are out across the state and several dozen businesses also carry the petitions. Visit the campaign website for places to sign and information on events where they will be canvassing.

Volunteer your help.
In order to make the ballot, AR Compassion will need to collect 100,000 additional signatures to ensure they qualify for the November 2012 ballot. If only 400 people collect 250 signatures each during the next five months, the initiative will qualify for the ballot. Will you be one of the 400? Sign up to change Arkansas history here.

Lend some financial support.
If you can't volunteer, please consider making a generous contribution today to help pay for supplies, travel expenses, printing petitions, paid canvassers, and more. Ballot initiatives are expensive, but if everyone chips in a little, they can reach their goals.

Share your story.
If you would be eligible for the Arkansas Medical Marijuana program, please consider sharing your patient story on the campaign web site. They've already recruited an impressive number of patients who have shared their stories. You can check them out here.

Spread the word.
We hope you choose to help out the AR Compassion team personally, but if you can't volunteer or donate, please tell your friends. Post it to Facebook, Twitter, or blog about it. Anything to spread the message and build support!

Most of all, keep up the hope and remember that the tide is turning. Arkansas could very well be the first Southern state with a medical marijuana program — which is a crucial step in reforming marijuana laws everywhere.

Thanks in advance for your support!
