Title:
Early voting starts today!
Message:
Get out and vote “YES” on Issue 5
Voting on Election Day can be a bit of a hassle. Figuring out your polling place, taking time off work, and waiting in long lines … it’s no wonder voter turnout is often so low. Fortunately, you live in a state that allows early voting. From today through November 5, voters can cast their ballots for president, congress, state legislative seats, and of course, Issue 5, which would make Arkansas the first medical marijuana state in the South.
In most counties, early voting takes place at your county clerk’s office, though more populous counties may have multiple locations. Here’s a list with contact info (PDF) for all county clerks’ offices. Polls are open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday-Friday and 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays. Secretary of State Mark Martin recommends you verify your address to ensure you’re given the correct ballot. If your name or address has changed, you can update that information when you vote.
For more information on voting, including to check the status of your registration, visit Arkansas Voter View or the Arkansas Secretary of State webpage. Thanks, now get out there and vote!
