We have made the ballot!

Published: June 2, 2010

For more than a year, the Arizona Medical Marijuana Policy Project, backed by MPP, has been working hard on behalf of medical marijuana patients in Arizona. The AMMPP team, led by campaign manager Andrew Myers, coordinated a signature drive through all kinds of weather and at all kinds of coffee shops. The men and women doing the most challenging task of circulating petitions collected more than 250,000 signatures. It was a grueling ordeal.

Yesterday, we received our reward. The Secretary of State informed AMMPP that our medical marijuana initiative has qualified for the November ballot! We are well on our way to making medical marijuana legal in Arizona! In the not-too-distant future, we should have a limited number of dispensaries making medical marijuana available for patients across the state.

Although our goal is in sight, we need your help to reach it. If you are like most other people on this list, you have not yet made a contribution to this historic campaign. But if it is at all possible, now is the time.

With the real campaign approaching, we need to raise funds for a basic expense: yard signs. Each sign costs approximately $2.50, so a contribution of $10 will put 4 signs on the ground and a contribution of $25 will cover 10. Even $5 will pay for a couple of signs that hundreds of voters will see! Please visit the AMMPP Donate page and make a contribution to our yard sign fund to help us reach our $5,000 goal.

Thank you for your support!
