AZ Petitioners still going strong despite heat

This July was among the hottest on record for the city of Phoenix, but that hasn't slowed down the Arizona Medical Marijuana Policy Project petitioners. In just 11 weeks, we are already 30% of the way toward our goal of 250,000 signatures and qualification for the November 2010 ballot!

More than 350 individuals have signed up to collect signatures for the campaign, an amazing outpouring of support. Many are working in the 115-degree heat and talking to Arizona voters about this important issue because of loved ones who suffer from debilitating illnesses for which medical marijuana could provide relief.

If you want to help collect signatures — either on a volunteer basis or to earn some money — please bring yourself, your ID, your social security card or a copy of your birth certificate, and a piece of official mail — a bank statement, utility bill, or vehicle registration works best — to any of the following turn-in locations:

PHOENIX
Fair Trade Café
Corner of Roosevelt Street and Central Avenue (1020 N. 1st Ave.)
Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

TEMPE
Bunna Coffee
Corner of Rural and Elliot roads (7520 S. Rural Road #A12)
Mondays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

TUCSON
Bentley's House of Coffee and Tea
Speedway Boulevard just west of Campbell Avenue (1730 E. Speedway Blvd.)
Thursdays from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Thank you so much for your interest in this campaign. We cannot succeed without the support of Arizonans like you!
