MPP's Model State Decriminalization Bill
MPP's model "decrim" bill would reduce a state's penalties for the possession of up to an ounce of marijuana to a $100 civil fine. It is based mostly on an initiative passed by 65% of Massachusetts voters in November 2008. It also includes some provisions that were included in a similar bill introduced in Rhode Island in 2010.
