Rhonda O'Donnell
Rhonda Odonnell

Affliction / Illness: Multiple sclerosis

Rhonda was instrumental in the fight to pass medical marijuana legislation in Rhode Island. Rhonda, a former registered nurse, was diagnosed with secondary progressive multiple sclerosis (MS) in 1994. Her symptoms eventually became so severe that in 1998, she retired from the nursing profession. Rhonda has never used medical marijuana, because of the fear of arrest and prosecution. Now that the medical marijuana registry system is operating in Rhode Island, Rhonda expects to use marijuana to treat some of her symptoms (her doctor has already agreed to provide the necessary recommendation). Here is Rhonda O'Donnell's television ad that helped to pass the medical marijuana law in Rhode Island.
