MPP goes to court to appeal dismissal of Montana campaign finance complaint against drug czar's office
On July 14, 2005, MPP filed for a declaratory judgment in Montana, seeking judicial review of the dismissal of our campaign finance complaint against the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP), which houses the drug czar's office. MPP is alleging that state officials dismissed the complaint based on an erroneous conclusion of law. This filing can be viewed on our "Official Complaints" page.
MPP's complaint was dismissed by the Commissioner of Political Practices on May 26, 2005. This dismissal occurred after the commissioner had requested additional information from ONDCP about its activities in the state. (View the series of correspondence.)
