Medical Marijuana Advocates to Announce New TV Ad Campaign Monday at the Statehouse


MINNEAPOLIS — As the state House prepares to vote on a bill to protect seriously ill patients from arrest for using medical marijuana with a doctor's recommendation, advocates announced they would unveil a new TV ad campaign at a press conference Monday.

The ad, which will be screened at the press conference, features Lynn Rubenstein Nicholson of Minneapolis, who suffers intractable pain after enduring 10 surgeries following a back injury.

SF 345, which is sponsored in the House by Rep. Thomas Huntley (DFL-Duluth), passed the House Ways and Means Committee 13-4, April 9. The bill passed in the Senate last year.
