A5711: A Bill Mandating Suspension and Revocation of Certain Professional Licenses Upon Conviction of Certain Drug-Related Offenses


This bill would disqualify teachers from teaching in common and public schools in New York if they were convicted of controlled substances offenses, including felony marijuana offenses. The commissioner could reconsider and reverse the disqualification no earlier than six months after doing so.
