A2733: An Act to Amend the Law Relating to Criminal Liability on Juvenile Offenders in Possession of Certain Controlled Substances
Sponsored By: Assembly members Townsend, Calhoun, Errigo, and Kolb
This legislation would increase penalties for minors ages 14, 15, and 16 guilty of sale of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance in the first, second, and third degrees. Under the new provision, said minors would be tried as "juvenile offenders", thus subject to being sentenced in the same manner as adults.
