Target America: The DEA and You

This exhibit is dedicated to the memory of Esequiel Hernandez, killed on May 20, 1997, one of far too many innocent victims of the Drug War.

A Counter-Exhibit Presented by the Marijuana Policy Project

What if Osama bin Laden sent squads of armed men into U.S. cities to attack medical facilities? What if those terror squads stormed clinics, stole confidential medical records and literally took medicine from the sick and dying?

That is precisely what the Drug Enforcement Administration is doing in California.

The DEA and the White House want the public to believe that drugs are inherently connected with terrorism, and that anyone who uses illegal drugs supports terrorists. In fact, it is the "War on Drugs" that promotes terrorism, and the DEA and its law enforcement allies regularly commit terrorist acts: They take medicine from the seriously ill, jail their caregivers, and murder innocent, unarmed people with no evidence and no trial.

This exhibit examines the deadly connection between the "War on Drugs" and terrorism, the often-symbiotic relationship between drug warriors and terrorist drug cartels and the personal impact those relationships have on the average American.
