The Development Coordinator is responsible for:

  • Coordinating membership list rentals and exchanges, telemarketing, and revenue-generating programs under the supervision of the Membership Director;

  • Processing, tracking, and shipping all merchandise purchases (t-shirts, playing cards, etc.) and summarizing merchandise transactions and revenues each month for the membership coordinator and bookkeeper;
  • Overseeing MPP’s monthly thank-you, renewal, and other in-house mailings, including supervising temps and volunteers;
  • Preparing mailing data for the Membership Department's approximately 10 annual out-of-house mailings, as well as for all other departments' in-house and out-of-house mailings;
  • Maintaining an inventory of the Membership Department’s materials, including renewal letters, thank-you letters, letterhead, brochures, envelopes and other printed materials; DVDs and stickers; and so forth;
  • Assisting the Development Officer and the Executive Director in reaching out to high-dollar prospects and donors across the country; and
  • Performing other miscellaneous duties as assigned, such as taking phone calls from members and prospective members; coordinating MPP’s work with speakers’ bureaus; managing MPP online auctions; and liaising with charity rating services.

The Development Coordinator reports to MPP's Membership Director, who in turn reports to MPP's Executive Director.
