How does MPP/MPP Foundation set the Director's Salary?
At the MPP board of directors' semi-annual meeting in December of each year, the board (which includes the executive director) discusses the executive director's recommendations for the salaries of all employees for the upcoming year, including the executive director's salary. Then, a little while later, during the executive session of that board meeting, the executive director leaves the room so that the board can discuss the executive director's overall performance and the board's decision on the executive director's salary.
